.Thin steel plate is the steel plate with a thickness of 0.2-4mm produced by hot or cold rolling method. Thick steel plate is the general designation of steel plate with a thickness of more than 4mm.
.Thin steel plate refers to steel plate whose thickness is not more than 3 mm. The commonly used thin steel plate thickness is 0.5-2mm, which is divided into plate and coil plate supply. The thin steel plate is generally class b steel, and the steel number is b0-b3. Requirements for thin steel plate are that the surface should be smooth, the thickness should be even and tight iron oxide film should be allowed. Cracks, scars and other defects should not exist. The process is divided into hot-rolled thin steel plate and cold-rolled thin steel plate. They are mainly used for automobile, electrical equipment, vehicle, agricultural machinery, container, steel furniture, etc.
.Thick steel plate
refers to the thickness of more than 3 mm steel plate. The thick steel plate is divided into extra-thick steel plate and medium-thick steel plate. Extra-thick steel plate refers to the steel plate whose thickness is not less than 50 mm. Extra-thick steel plate is mainly used for shipbuilding, boiler, bridge and high-pressure vessel shell. Medium - thickness steel plate refers to the steel plate whose thickness is more than 3 mm, but less than 5O mm . Medium - thick steel plate is mainly used for shipbuilding, boiler, bridge, armor and high - pressure vessel.
.The thickness of composite color steel plate is required to be between 50 and 250 mm. Products beyond the specified range will be considered as unqualified, so the thickest one is 250MM. The wall surface of color steel plate adopts high-strength color aluminium-zinc plate, and the thickness of this aluminium-zinc plate is not less than 0.60mm, while the thickness of inner plate of color steel plate is not less than 0.55mm. The allowable error is 0.22 mm. Generally, the thickness of color steel plate includes 0.426 mm, 0.476 mm, 0.50 mm, 0.60 mm and so on.
