Section 1 A633GrD Executive Standards
1.1This standard applies to normalized high-strength low-alloy structural steel plates for welding, riveting or bolted structures.
1.2This steel plate is particularly suitable for use in a low temperature environment of ≥ -50 ℉ [-45 ℃], because this environment requires that the steel A633GrD performs the notch toughness of the standard plate better than the rolled steel plate with similar strength levels.

Section3 A633GrD Delivery Status
1.The steel plate should be normalized: Heating the steel plate to a suitable temperature capable of generating austenite structure but not exceeding 1700 ℉ [925 ℃], holding at this temperature for a period of time, allowing the entire steel plate to be uniformly heated and then allowing it to be cooled in air.
2.If the purchaser decides to carry out the required heat treatment, the steel sheet shall be accepted at the factory based on the test of the sample that has been heat treated according to the demand order. If the purchaser's order does not state the heat treatment requirements for the sample, the manufacturer shall heat treat the sample as it sees fit. The manufacturer shall notify the acquirer of the process of heat treatment of the sample at the factory.
